There are no formulaic or “silver bullet” techniques because each client situation is unique. We adapt to each client to fit the particular needs of the client and the client organization. We ask good questions and often lots of them. We listen carefully and probe for greater clarity and mutual understanding in situations where things do not add up. We cast a broad net for information. We focus on helping the client learn and become confident and independent in handling similar situations, not on writing reports or selling the next project.
In general we go through the following activities with our clients.
Build In-depth Understanding
- Work to clarify the challenge or problem to be addressed and the goals to be accomplished.
- Review the current situation and how it evolved. This includes business, organizational, structural, and people factors and interactions. The symptoms are separated from the causes.
Pinpoint the Challenges and the Goals
- Discuss with the client what we found and bring the problem in to sharper focus.
- Develop strategies with the client for taking action and bringing about meaningful, accelerated change.
Drive for Creative and
Accelerated Solutions and Growth
- Develop the plans for the implementation of the actions, communication, and monitoring of progress. This is done jointly with the client.
